The accommodation on Wadigi consists of three beautifully furnished and airconditioned suites the Honeymoon Suite, the Sunrise Suite, and the Sunset Suite, plus a large living room with TV, stereo, DVD, Video and library of books, all perched on the edge of a cliff. You will have two personal gourmet chefs, personal butler, maid and Boat Skipper for your entire stay. Kayaks, windsurfers, spyboards, snorkelling gear, wakeboarding, waterskiing, and use of longboats are all part of the package on Wadigi Island.

Everywhere you look there are magnificent South Pacific views, and total privacy. All the suites are connected by large decks which allow indoor and outdoor living, and have Veranda day beds. The new Honeymoon Suite also has an outdoor shower.

The Sunset Suite

The Sunset Suite which you might be using for your Private Fiji island honeymoon has a large private veranda which is out over the water. The Fijian archipelago is encircled by a huge reef and therefore there are many shallow lagoons to swim, snorkel or frolick in. There are also thousands of scuba dive sites to choose from. Most dive locations are easy to get to with plenty of resorts offering scuba diving scattered around the Fijian islands.

The water temperature is just perfect for scuba diving with at its coldest at only 25C. On warmer days, it is about 30C. Water visibility in Fiji is excellent with superb visibility of up to 40m or 120ft is a norm rather than exception.

Mamanuca dive sites in Fiji is easily be accessible by boat from the Nadi Airport area on the main island of Viti Levu. Several resorts in the Nadi offer full diving facilities and there are numerous day packages for snorkeling and scuba diving. The diving landscape in Mamanucas consist of shallow lagoons with hollows and bommies and excellent marine life. The Rainbow Reef in Northern Islands is another world famous scuba diving destination. If you are diving in the Rainbow reef, you will enjoy diving the Great White Wall and advanced drift diving through channels.

One of the best opportunities given whilst staying on Matangi is to be around the local islanders, and the resort ensures you have the chance of doing just this. There are weekly trips to a traditional Fijian village on the neighboring island of Qama, and if you possibly can then ask to go to the Fijian mass at the Catholic church on Taveuni. Take a picnic on honeymoon cove, and go to the waterfalls.

Superb Dining on Matangi

Meals are served in the Dining Bure or on the Deck which sits out over the water with wonderful views over the neighboring islands. All three meals plus snacks are included in the daily rate. The food here is excellent. For breakfast there is a hot menu and a fruit and cereal buffet style selection. Lunch and Dinner has the choice of salad or soup, a main course and sweet. Add to this afternoon tea and cakes and evening appetizers. The only things you have to pay for are alcohol, because water, tea, coffee and breakfast juices are included in the daily rate. The menu changes every day and the service is excellent.

Bure

Staying in a traditional Fijian Bure is a magical experience, it’s cool in warm temperatures, filled with decorative charm and an ideal relaxing place to read a novel or soak up the sun on your own private deck equipped with sun lounges. Several styles of Bure accommodation are available on the island, from traditional thatched bures to adjoining bungalow style bures, through to the beach wing, which offers 6 rooms right on the beach.

Lodge: One of the most popular accommodation options at Beachcomber is the lodges offering twin accommodation for the budget conscious. A unique feature is the lodge room’s polished Fijian hardwood floor and coconut timber ceiling.

Grand Bure

This unique structure is the largest traditional Bure in all of Fiji’s 300 islands so it is called the ‘Grand Bure’. Priced to be affordable the ‘Grand Bure’ is Dormitory style accommodation with shared facilities and a unique experience where you meet people from all over the world, sharing an unforgettable true island experience. All guests have their own secure locker. Linen is supplied and the dormitory is serviced daily. The 98 bunk bed unisex Dormitory has His and Hers communal shared facilities with hot showers, ceiling fans and private keyed lockers.

Dining

All meals are served conveniently buffet style in international dish or traditional dish format.  All your meals are included in your room price. The barefoot bar is unique and right where you want it – on the beach with golden sand stretching right up under the bar stool making this an ideal place to watch the world pass you by. It is ready and waiting to quench your thirst with everything from freshly squeezed fruit juice, wine, spirits and ice cold Fiji Draught Beer, to the most exotic island cocktail.

Night time at Beachcomber can be as relaxing or exciting as you want to make it. Cultural floor shows are held four nights a week as well as nightly entertainment.

After a couple days in Sigatoka, you might take a ride to Nadi to see the Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple. This religious site is amazing and the architecture is just beautiful. Then it is off to Suva for The Fiji Museum with exhibits dating back over three thousand years. This is the oldest museum around the South Pacific. A favorite in Suva is the flea market called the Suva Municipal Market. This is a festive area and they have something for everyone to enjoy. Of course, you cannot forget the Parliament with its government building with an orange color. The Albert Park is another place to see before moving on to the other areas of Fiji.

You can visit the Garden of the Sleeping Giant in Nausori. This is amazing to see. There are so many orchids, over two thousand types and was originally started by Perry Mason star Raymond Burr. This place is amazing and it shows his much devoted love and attention to orchids. As you might remember, he was a man who loved to give orchids on his television shows. You do not want to miss this attraction in Fiji.

The Islands

On Taveuni Island, the Bouma National Heritage Park is a great place to visit and walk around the rainforest. You can hike or do some swimming. Yes, the water is safe to swim. You will not see any creatures popping out. The Lavena Costal Walk is a true nature trail that shows you the wild side of the island area as well as the black sands and awesome forests. You are going to enjoy spending a few days here.

Don’t miss the beautiful Tavoro Waterfalls on Taveuni Island. You can spend the entire day in this part of the world and have peace and tranquility. The three different waterfalls have different levels of altitude and are so beautiful to watch all day. After you have had your fill of daytime activities, sit and relax with a drink from one of the local club and lounges.

Be sure to take one of the Captain Cook Cruises sailing day trips on the historic tall ship, Brigantine Ra Marama. Game fishing enthusiasts can enjoy full and half-day expeditions, with Sea Fiji, and scuba divers will find any number of operators ready to take you to perfect dive locations. For a unique botanical experience head for the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, where acres of orchids and flowering plants are set in a shady mountain valley.
